North Norfolk coast in winter
Visit North Norfolk in winter
Winter is a great time of year to visit North Norfolk, as its much quieter than in the summer. Lots of lovely coastal walks to enjoy and then come home to the cottage and enjoy the warmth of the log burner and the Aga at Gardeners Cottage.
North Norfolk is home to huge numbers of visiting birds in the winter months. Enormous flocks of geese gather on the Blakeney marshes, a spectacular site to behold. The sound of them in flight is something truly wonderful.
Blakeney point is also home to one of the largest seal colonies in Europe, and winter is an especially exciting time to visit the North Norfolk coast, as the seals are having their pups.
Cosy warm Norfolk cottage to rent for winter
Having a large sociable kitchen, Gardeners cottage is also the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, with a weekend break with your family. Great for cooking heart warming casseroles and roasts the Aga is also a wonderful source of warmth and comfort in the winter months as is the cosy snug with log burner. It is a lovely cottage to return to after a long coastal walk with the family or dogs.
